Most of Hoover institution newspaper collections related to Africa were transferred to the Stanford University Library during "the realignment" in 2006. The titles that remained at Hoover became part of the Multi-Country newspaper collection together with other titles from different continents. Those newspaper titles are from Algeria, Angola, Brazil, Burma, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Ethiopia, French West Africa, Guatemala, Haiti, Hong Kong, Indochina, Indonesia, Jamaica, Jordan, Kurdistan, Lebanon, Mali, Madagascar, Manchuria, Pakistan, Panama, Réunion, Sarawak, San Marino, South Africa, Tanganyika, Thailand and Vietnam (44 titles).
