The collections in this guide cover some of the events that occurred during World War II in the Pacific Theater. The Pacific Theater encompasses many of the islands and countries of the South Seas, including Guam, the Philippines, Japan, China, Australia, and other neighboring areas. Many of these collections are transcripts, correspondence, letters, photography, audio recordings, and other materials. These collections will provide researchers with the ability to see a variety of information spanning from personal letters to official statements and communications from military personnel. Regardless of the individual's expertise, these collections will help provide greater context about the history surrounding the Pacific Theater during World War II.
